Appetti, formally Asia Happy Hour first launched its service in 2014 to offer SE Asia the best food and beverage outlets in some of Asia’s biggest cities. With the main focus being on Jakarta and Singapore, the platform also covered Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Bali.
May to October 2014 – “Asia Happy Hour commences development in Singapore” supported by a sales centre in Cebu, Philippines. All start up costs are borne by its Founders. The platform is officially launched in October 2014.
The platform had a focus on offering Users a comprehensive Directory of restaurants, bars, cafes, deals and happy hours.
April 2015 – “A sales team of 4 employees is set up in Jakarta, Indonesia” with a main task of growing merchant numbers in our target cities.
September 2015 – “The platform grows its Merchant numbers from zero to 8000+ in less than a year”
October 2015 – “Asia Happy Hour changes name to Appetti”
Following some detailed surveys within our user groups, we learnt that our Users and Merchants wanted more from the platform and that a neutral brand was needed to take this to the next level. Appetti replaced Asia Happy Hour and was the voters name of choice from over 400 respondents across four cities, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok and Dubai.
May 2016 – “Appetti.com is officially launched” as an entirely new website and brand. At the same time, we secured $120k SGD in funding from 2 investors.
Traffic doubles month on month for the first 4 months.
July 2016 – “National University of Singapore (NUS) concludes a 6 month marketing study for Appetti” , that consisted of detailed market analysis, surveys, trends, competitor analysis and suggested products for both the User and Merchants. The study looked at both the Jakarta and Singapore markets.
December 2016 – “Appetti develops and launches a new Merchant admin panel” featuring additional features and services. This new panel was designed to be fully scalable and configurable for all new products, services and payment system.
January 2017 – “Appetti secures an additional $110k SGD in investor funding” which was allocated for development phases 3 & 4 , covering User interface, login, products and services to further promote User growth

Maria Kosim – Founding Partner & Director
More than 10 years experience in Sales and Marketing in hospitality covering F&B Groups and Hotels in Bali, Jakarta and Singapore, Managed Credit Card launch for a major Indonesian Bank and moved to Singapore in 2005
as Sales and Marketing Manager for an American chain’s Fine Dining restaurant.
Maria leads the future business planning and expansion for the Company but also investor relations, and fundraising.
Okke Klein B.B.A. – Founding Partner and Engineering Manager
Manages the technical development of Appetti from conception to delivery. Okke has extensive experience with Product Development, Project Management of online Marketing and Sales systems. He has produced innovative solutions for multiple companies with the focus on search related technologies over the last 10 years
Sugiyo Marzuki - Sales Team Manager
Over 7 years experience with B2B sales across both corporate finance and food produce. Sugiyo manages the Jakarta sales office for Appetti, looking at Merchant growth across our operating cities, quality control and merchant engagement for paid products
Farah Diba - QA/QC Lead
5 years sales and admin experience with B2B sales and inventory control. Tasked with all quality control and final activation of all Merchants, Farah is an integral part of the team and ensures Appetti retains the high quality and accuracy of listings that its Users come to expect.
Andry Susanto – Sales Team Lead - Singapore
A key member of the team, Andry is responsible for growing the Singapore merchant accounts by remote and field sale trips. Andry has 7 years B2B sales across financial products and FMCG.
Reza Kamarullah – Digital Marketing Lead
Degree qualified in Computer science, Reza plays a key role in monitoring traffic and suggesting initiatives to increase both User and Merchant exposure in the short and longer term. Reza also supports sales expansion in Jakarta and Bali.
Indra Yoga –Coordinator - Social Media
Our great all round Social Media expert. Indra has been supporting companies and their social media initiatives for over 5 years. For Appetti, he manages daily posts, campaigns and marketing on Facebook, Google +, and Twitter.
