Description

Ginger Moon maintains the at ease interior of a simple Asian eatery, with what could be an antiquated Hainanese coffee house or colonial Shanghai diner, with interior features such as a fetching wall length painting of a golden Buddha’s hand, enormous planters and an exposed glass atrium viewed from both floors. Welcome to Ginger Moon a modern eatery inspired by the people of Bali and Indonesia, and the myriad tropical ingredients which make the island's cuisine so exciting. “Where in Bali?” Seminyak, and especially “Eat Street”, is the hub of Bali’s renowned dining scene and ourModern Asian Canteen is at its heart. An air-conditioned oasis on an otherwise bustling street, Ginger Moon is a warm and welcoming restaurant, and from the moment you are greeted our friendly and professional service team with their naturally caring Balinese hospitality make even the most weary of travelers feel at home.

Specialties

Food: “It’s a sharing thing!” Chef Dean Keddell serves up seriously tasty fare by putting a fun and interesting spin on the foods of Indonesia (Bali in particular) and China, creating an original and memorable dining experience. “Asian innovation” best describes what is on offer, think steam buns, dumplings, Peking duck pancakes, rendang pizza, wok fried fresh water fish and smoky beef ribs, astonishingly casual dishes that that fit perfectly with the ‘canteen’” style of Ginger Moon. The menu has been designed with sharing in mind as we at Ginger Moon believe food tastes best this way. We recommend ordering several dishes to share, take the time to graze, savour the experience. Beverage: “When in Bali!” A list of creative, locally inspired cocktails (alcoholic and non), and a variety of Asian beers are on offer as both a refresher and an accompaniment to the food. A small and surprisingly varied wine list keeps things interesting for wine connoisseur. And a fresh tropical juice menu completes the enticing selection.
