Oktoberfest Singapore: the original celebration was very different.
Did you know that the original Oktoberfest was held on October 12th 1810. It was a Bavarian celebration of the marriage between Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen and Crown Prince Ludwig I of Bavaria. Today’s Oktoberfest Singapore is all about appreciating German food, drink and also culture, resulting in unrestrained revelry.

Swiss Club
So this Oktoberfest Singapore go along to Swiss Club on thew 20th to 24th September where there will be an enormous Oktoberfest tent. Spreading over nearly 3,000 sq metres, it is air conditioned and a great place to eat drink and be merry.
Not only will you be able to sample traditional German fairy like the various Wursts and Pork Knuckle but also they are going to spit roast a whole Ox!
On the drinks side they will be serving beers, wines and of course many soft drinks. Beer brands such as Dunkel and also Erdinger will be available. Drinks are not included in the entrance fee and are bought with coupons at SgD5.50 each.
Also look out for Austrian folk singer Andreas Gabalier on the 21st and 22nd. Opening at 19:00 till late and ticket prices vary from SgD65 to SgD110 varying dependent on when you go and where you want to sit.
Brotzeit Bier Bar
These people were amongst the first to bring Oktoberfest to Singapore. Apparently this is the 10th year that they will be throwing a party to celebrate Singapore’s Oktoberfest.
You can partake in all sorts of German fairy once the mood takes you.
Brotzeit also has 5 venues in Singapore.
So the Oktoberfest at Brotzeit runs from September 5th to October 15th and there are numerous packages available. Right up to the Special Package which is free flow beer and for at SgD120 per person (conditions apply).

CHOP House
Chop House (part of the WooLoo-MooL00 Group) is celebrating Oktoberfest in both its Singapore venues.

At I12 Katong, their Oktoberfest Singapore Party will be held on Wednesday 27th September where there will be free-flow of the Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier: Marzen plus many of Germany’s culinary delights. Timings 19:00 to 23:00

At their other branch in VivoCity, the party will be on Wednesday, 4th October, with free-flow food, beer Also live music from the Paulaner Musikanten band! Timings 19:00 to 23:00. Here are the deals!

The Real Biggy: Oktoberfest Asia 2017
A Private Event will be held on 17th October and from 19th to 21st also a bigger scale public event will be held in a fully air-conditioned festival-styled marquee. Found at the open field next to Tan Quee Lan Street, bordered by North Bridge Road (opposite Bugis Junction) and Rochor Road.
The Beer
Paulaner Bräuhaus,
This is Singapore’s only German Microbrewery & Restaurant. Because of the small distance from the brewing to the glass, you can always expect the beer to be fresh from the tap.
Weihenstephan Brewery
Apparently the Weihenstephan Brewery is the oldest brewery in the world, brewing since 1040. Very nearly 1,000 years ago. It was started as a monastery brewery of the Benedictine monks.
The Food
Expect gourmet cuisine that includes Bavarian favourites such as Pork Knuckle with Mash Potato & Sauerkraut, Sausages and much more
The Band
The original Hofbräuhaus band from the beer halls of Munich are here to make the night rock, traditional festival folk music and also a fresh take on what’s in today’s charts.
