Punggol beach is located on the north east of the island of Singapore. Here you can absorb the beautiful sands and scenery this amazing area has to offer. Not only is there the Punggol beach but also the Punggol waterways, Ranch Chalet and Punggol Yacht Club Singapore. These all add up to making visitors develop an appetite. As with any trip out, 99 percent of us need sustenance in the form of food. This brings me, and I hope ‘you’, neatly too the Punggol Settlement, just a short walk from Punggol beach.

Punggol Settlement was created solely with food and beverage in mind. Settled amid stunning flower and fauna, fronted by water, this impressive development houses some 16 restaurants to choose from.

Being an Island one simply has to taste the vast array of seafood available.

Some specialist restaurants catering for this are;

  • Jing Long Seafood – also famous for their local food, inc Chilli Crab and the Ponggol beach Seafood serving their bestselling Chinese-style Mee Goreng.
  • Leong Ji’s signature dish is the wonderful crispy deep fried Kang Kong. Alternatively, at Kampong Chai Chee you will find amazing dishes such as ‘Nestum Prawns’ and ‘Baby Squid’.
  • House of Seafood – Finally for seafood there is the infamous House of Seafood. They were voted for serving the ‘Best Peppered Crab in Singapore’, a must try for sure.
  • Horizon Bistronomy – For European taste buds Just The Place, is exactly that. Serving classic dishes and in Horizon Bistronomy you will also find exquisitely prepared dishes. They apparently  have an in-house sommelier; a nice touch not many restaurants use now-a-days.
  • Georges By The Bay –  Perhaps the only restaurant offering customers food set in a Balinese themed bar. they serve a mixed menu from ‘ Escargot Bourguignonne’ to the classic ‘Grass Fed Tenderloin’.
  • Trunk At Bay – The only Thai restaurant is Trunk At Bay who make sure they deliver the best, authentic Thai flavors.
  • Izakaya – If you fancy Japanese cuisine look no further than Izakaya. Their extensive menu of traditional charcoal grilled skewers is simply the best.
  • The White Restaurant – has the famous signature dish called The Original Sembarwang White Beehoon. It’s one of many traditional Singaporean dishes on their menu.

More ‘bistro style’ dining is available at Fur Kids, Waynes Chill Out and Keep Tongues Waggin. Here you will find many good wholehearted, honest foods and beverages.
