Noodle Bar by Tokyo Latte: Our Brand Story
Here at Noodle Bar by Tokyo Latte, we seek to make casual dining a gastronomic experience. Our menu combines the quality and innovation of the Japanese (Tokyo), with the comfort of old-fashioned European cuisine (Latte). Come make yourselves at home at our humble space in JCube, and let us serve you quality dishes made with heart.
The French, who view eating as a social activity, inspired our food concept. Like them, we believe in slow living – where each bite of food is savoured, and each meal is enjoyed in the company of friends or family. Chain restaurants are rare in France – instead, independent restaurants and cafes serve up specially crafted recipes. At Noodle Bar, we aim for a similar experience with our in-house recipes. Whether it’s a classic char-grilled steak or a customised bowl of noodles, we strive to imbue each meal with meaning, and encourage our customers to slow down and relish the food.
We’re named Noodle Bar for a simple reason: we make delicious noodles. To cater to varying preferences, we offer four types of noodles: ramen, cha soba, udon, and nissin. Customers can pair their noodles with any of the soup bases on the menu, including our signature roasted tomato basil with seafood, curry with chicken, or bonito kombu with seafood. Dry bases are also available, in the form of yakisoba and bacon aglio olio. Top your dish off with a selection of add-ons, including ponzu roast chicken and soft shell crab. Every bowl is up to your imagination.
At Noodle Bar, the components of each dish are made from scratch. Freshly made noodles (excluding nissin) are delivered to our restaurant daily from a Japanese factory here in Singapore. Every piece of asparagus or zucchini is freshly grilled, and our soups are freshly boiled. Without using a single drop of MSG, we’ve managed to cook soups that taste full-bodied, fragrant and flavourful. The secret: our homemade chicken stock, which is a base ingredient in all our soups.
Our soup-based noodles are served in red enamel pots that were specially sourced and imported. Fun fact: the boss aims to recreate the familiar feeling of cooking your own inoodles at home, and eating it directly from the pot. Our homely decor contributes to an atmosphere of warmth, where we hope you’ll feel most comfortable.
Our homemade beverages and desserts are what complete the Noodle Bar experience. You won’t be able to find our signature Green Island Lemonade and Old-fashioned Orange Crush elsewhere – freshly made and topped with mint leaves and fruit bits, they’re perfectly refreshing. The star of the dessert menu, one that the boss himself raves about, is the Homemade Japanese Sweet Wine Cherry Tiramisu. Unlike neatly presented versions of Tiramisu served elsewhere, our version is sliced and served on a plate – just like how you would have it at home.
So come in, have a seat, and relish the cosy ambience. Have a drink, share a meal, and enjoy a conversation with your companions. We hope you leave our restaurant feeling warmth in both your tummy, and your heart.
