"Praelum" means winepress, a device used to extract juice from crushed grapes in winemaking. A reminder that wines are first and foremost individual reflections of multivaried grapegrowing terroirs, long before the grapes has been vinified into the delicious libation that has inspired many.
Praelum was opened by wine aficionado Elizabeth Lin in December 2011. Situated in the historic shophouse conservation area of Duxton Hill, and surrounded by a vibrant dining community, 4 Duxton Hill is all about enjoying wine, cocktails, and fresh food, while basking in the ambience of wine cellars, artwork and edgy design infused with a modern touch.
Praelum is open for lunch on weekdays from 12pm to 3pm and dinner from Monday till Saturday from 6pm to Midnight, and is open private event bookings.
